Katy and Taylor Aren’t Alone! Celebs Who Made Up After Feuding

No more bad blood! Not all celebrity feuds are created equally, but several stars have put their difference aside after publicly fighting.

Taylor Swift, for example, has made headlines for feuding with multiple celebrities. And while she has squashed some of her beef, the “ME!” singer is still at odds with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

The drama between Swift and the couple began in 2009 after the rapper crashed the “You Belong With Me” songstress’ acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to say Beyoncé deserved the honor.

“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you … Imma let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time … one of the best videos of all time!” West declared at the time. The controversial moment reportedly inspired Swift’s 2010 track “Innocent.”

While West and Swift briefly buried the hatchet in 2015, the feud was back on when the Yeezy designer rapped in his song “Famous” that he “made that bitch famous,” referring to Swift. Kardashian then got involved when she defended her husband, sharing footage of Swift approving of some of the lyrics in West’s aforementioned track — the video did not include the “that bitch” line.

As a result, Kardashian seemingly labeled Swift a snake through a series of emojis, prompting fans of the reality star to flood the “Better Than Revenge” singer’s Instagram with the reptile emoji.

“I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009,” Swift responded to the controversy in 2016.

While time will tell if Swift becomes friendly with the Kardashian-Wests, other feuds already have a happy ending:

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift

After becoming friends, the two women had a falling out when Swift accused Perry of poaching some of her backup dancers in 2014. Four years later, the “Never Really Over” singer ended the feud by sending the “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress an olive branch backstage at her Reputation tour. A year later, Swift, who posted the gesture on her Instagram Story, invited Perry to be in her “You Need to Calm Down” video.

“You know … we’ve been on good terms for a while,” Swift explained on Capital FM’s Capital Breakfast show in June 2019. “She sent me a really nice note and olive branch … like, an actual olive branch, to my tour, which started … the Reputation stadium tour awhile ago, and from that point on, we’ve been on good terms.”

Drake and Meek Mill

The beef between the two rappers started in 2015 when Mill accused the Degrassi alum of using a ghostwriter to write his songs via Twitter. Drake fired back in multiple diss tracks, including his hit “Back to Back.” The musician buried the hatchet in September 2018 when Mill joined Drake on stage at Boston’s TD Garden.

Karamo Brown and Antoni Porowski

The Queer Eye costars didn’t get along while filming season 1 of the series. “My castmate in Queer Eye, Antoni, people didn’t know that we had an extreme amount of conflict,” Brown told E! News’ Just the Sip in May 2019. “We did not talk to each other at all during season 1 even though we were shooting together. … On camera, it was about that person and about creating something successful and so, that was genuine, but off camera, the minute that camera stopped rolling, ‘Girl, don’t come near me.’”

The pair hashed things out over an hour-long conversation before Queer Eye season 1 hit Netflix in February 2018.

Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty

The women of Beverly Hills, 90210 didn’t get along during Doherty’s run on the ‘90s series from 1990 to 1994. More than a decade later, however, they reunited for the CW reboot of the drama and buried the hatchet.

“I think when you’re 18, your personalities conflict, and then you meet up 10 or 15 years later and the playing ground is totally different and you’re fine,” Doherty told Entertainment Weekly in 2008. “The first moment I saw her it was like, ‘OK, this is going to be good.’ It was like, ‘Hey.’ Then a hug. It’s like going to a war together. You’ve already been in the trenches together. You learned so much from that first war. That second war, you know what you need to do to make the set the most peaceful environment you can possibly have.”

Shenae Grimes and Annalynne McCord

Just like the 90210 leading ladies before them, Grimes and McCord went head to head on the set of the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot. “Shenae and I, who played Annie, we were at each other’s throats for five years,” McCord dished on The Wendy Williams Show in 2018, five years after the series ended. “And the day before we wrapped, Shenae calls me and was like, ‘Hey … I can’t believe it’s over.’ I’m like, ‘Bitch?!'”

The pair hashed out all of the issues between them during the last day of filming in 2013. “I end up at her wedding in England and now were friends,” McCord told Williams. “We have dinner dates. It’s awesome, I love her.”

Kathie Lee Gifford and Howard Stern

The former Today host opened up about her 30-year feud with the radio host in May 2018. “Howard Stern had a feud with me going on 30 years,” Gifford explained. “I never met him. I never listened to his show. He hated my guts for 30 years. Hated my husband, hated my children. Hated everything I stood for.”

The duo made up when Stern came on the show to promote America’s Got Talent. “One day, right here, I was up in the makeup room, and all of a sudden he’s here to announce America’s Got Talent,” Gifford recalled. “I just feel the Lord saying very clearly to me, ‘Go down and say hello to Howard. I’m standing right here … and I go, ‘Howard, Howard, I’m Kathie Lee. I thought it was time I say hello. I want to wish you the very best with your show.’ And I left.”

Stern later called Gifford and apologized for his past remarks, including calling her the “world’s dumbest person.”

Lady Gaga and Madonna

The two pop divas’ feud started in 2011 when fans accused Gaga of copying Madonna’s 1989 track “Express Yourself” in her single “Born This Way.” Madonna added fuel to the fire by calling Gaga’s hit “reductive.”

“She wouldn’t look me in the eye and tell me that I was reductive,” Gaga fired back in her 2017 Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, about Madonna. “Telling me you think I’m a piece of s—t through the media? It’s like a guy passing me a note through his friend.”

In February 2019, the singers embraced at an Oscars afterparty and seemingly called a truce.

Kim Kardashian and Adrienne Bailon

After the former Cheetah Girls star split from the KKW Beauty CEO’s brother, Rob Kardashian, Bailon slammed her ex, calling him “disloyal” and claiming the “Kardashian label” hurt her career. When the interview made headlines, Kim clapped back via Twitter.

“Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian,” Kim wrote at the time. “#LetItGoooooLetItGoooooo (FROZEN VOICE). So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever.”

The twosome eventually put their past issues behind them. Kim even joked that Bailon could have been her daughter North’s aunt in 2018.

“Should I break the news to North that this could [have] been her auntie ?!?!?!” the reality star captioned a photo of North watching The Cheetah Girls in 2018. Hours later, Bailon replied and called the post “hysterical.”

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

The Simple Life costars had falling out in 2005, barely sharing any screen time on the last two seasons on the Fox series. “Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it,” Hilton cryptically told the press at the time. While the details of their feud stayed under wraps, Richie confirmed they were on good terms in 2014.

“Paris is somebody that’s been in my life since day one,” she said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen at the time. “An idea of a true friend is somebody that’s going to be there with you through and through. I haven’t spoken to her in a while, but we are very good friends. I love her and I love her family. I have a lot of respect for her.”
