Tuesday night the House unanimously passed the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act.
Mississippi Congressman Steven Palazzo says, ” Many of our veterans who served in the Vietnam War were exposed to “Agent Orange,” a harmful herbicide that can devastate an individual’s health. In the early 2000s, the VA limited the benefits accessible to our blue water veterans because it was difficult to prove they were experiencing health issues from exposure to this dangerous chemical. Our legislation will restore these veterans’ access to the benefits they so rightly earned.”
Palazzo continued by saying, “As an original cosponsor of this bill, it was an obvious choice to ensure our veterans receive the care and benefits they deserve.”
