Curtis Flowers was charged with the murders of four people at a furniture store in Winona in 1996. Since then, he has been tried six times with each conviction being reversed.

Thursday, the Mississippi Supreme Court accepted the decision, made by the U.S. Supreme Court in June, to reverse his capital murder conviction and will return the case to the Montgomery County circuit court and District Attorney Doug Evans.

If there are no appeals, the transfer of the case will take place on September 19th. At that point, a few things may happen. Hearings and motions can be filed, and there is also the possibility that Evans could decide not to try the case again or a plea arrangement could be made.
